1. How can I identify which phone I have?
A. Go to Settings > General > About. The initial steps of the process also include a few examples of how you can find this information.
2. What happens after I have submitted my trade-in?
A. Sign up for the Renewd® Trade-In program and receive instructions on how to trade in your old device.
B. Pack your old device securely according to the instructions so it can safely be sent. Send the device by mail to the provided address.
C. Our team will inspect the condition and value of your device. Based on that, you will receive an amount for your traded-in device.
D. The money will be deposited into your account, and you will receive a payment receipt.
3. How is the condition of my device determined?
A. It’s simple. A few questions will be asked to assess the condition and functionality of the device. Some of these questions also provide examples where you can easily find all the information. You trade-in your old device for cash amount.
4. What should I do if my device locks after a factory reset?
A. Many of the locks are deactivated after the device is reset to its factory settings. Note that you should make a backup of the device before doing this. See below for some possible locks.
5. How can I disable “Find My iPhone” on Apple mobile devices?
A. For Apple mobile devices, Open the Settings app. Tap [your name] > Find My. Tap Find My [Device], then tap to turn it off. Enter your Apple ID password. Tap Turn Off. For Macbook Choose the Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences). Click your name (or Apple ID). Click iCloud, scroll down, then click Find My Mac (or click Options next to Find My Mac). Click Turn Off.
6. How do I deactivate iCloud on my device?
A. Tap the Home button. Tap the Settings icon. Tap iCloud. Tap Delete Account to deactivate iCloud.
7. How can I remove my Apple ID from a device?
A. Tap Settings, tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases. Tap View Account. You might be asked to sign in. Scroll down, then tap Remove This Device.
8. What should I do if I’ve acquired a device from my company?
A. Have you taken over a device from your company? Make sure to remove the company management software (MDM) from the device. You cannot trade in devices that are still under the control of a company.
